Frequently asked questions?
Curious about how the Route 66 Mother Road Revival works? Below are answers to the most common questions from travelers, locals, enthusiasts and future members.
Submissions and Input
Q: Who can submit ideas or needs? Anyone! Whether you’re a resident, business owner, traveler, or simply someone who cares about Route 66, your ideas are welcome. If it helps strengthen communities along the Mother Road, we want to hear from you.
Q: Will submissions be published? No. Individual submissions remain confidential. We summarize insights from all submissions to guide projects, while protecting your privacy.
Q: How will my input be used? Your input helps shape member-funded projects, entrepreneurial support, and creative community activations. Every suggestion plays a role in strengthening Route 66 towns.
Projects and Timing
Q: When will the first projects start? Project timing depends on the size and scope of what’s submitted and selected. We prioritize smaller projects first to build momentum and show action while larger projects are developed in the background.
Q: What happens to membership dues during the planning phase? All dues remain in a dedicated account, ready to be used as soon as projects are approved. In the meantime, we aim to keep these funds in a high-yield, low-risk account so they grow while waiting to be deployed.
Where are you working right now? Our long-term vision is to support every town along Route 66. To begin, we’re focusing where local input and knowledge of ongoing projects have guided us. We’ve also identified opportunities where existing businesses need support, and we’ve developed fresh ideas of our own to spark momentum. This balanced approach helps us create early impact while building toward a wider reach.
